A beam of golden light
Parts the clouds of charcoal
And shines on the fields
Of lilac and rosemary,
Flooding the earth
With hope and the promise
Of a new beginning:
A rebirth of life and peace,
A reawakening of beauty and happiness,
The promise that a new and better day will come.
And even when life becomes more than we can bear,
We must wait and keep faith
And remember
There is always a ray of hope
Just beyond the darkness.
