Happy Little Trees

If one were to go through my gallery of photographs, I think it's fairly obvious that I am no professional. Other than having an eye for nature's beauty, I'm a point, click, shoot-and-hope-I-get-what-I-want type of gal. I'm not well-versed in lighting or angles, I don't have the most expensive or up-to-date equipment, and it certainly doesn't help that I'm now a bit limited in my mobility. Occasionally I have to tweak a photograph to get the colors the same as I saw them in real life, or apply other minor edits, and even there I'm sorely lacking in any real skill.

In short, I'm merely a hobbyist - something that I'm perfectly okay with.

Now onto the point of this post. While browsing through my own gallery, I noticed that apparently I have an affinity for trees that I didn't previously know about. They seem to have this fantastic, natural way of framing a picture, of providing lines with which I can use to position my camera for a shot. Truth be told, they probably make what might otherwise be dull pictures somewhat more interesting. And for that I guess I'm grateful.

So thank you big and small trees alike so that I can pretend I know what I'm doing!
