The DeviantArt #HolidayCardProject is back to spread some holiday cheer once again!
Now on its 11th year, the Holiday Card Project aims to bring that cheer to patients in hospitals both in the United States and around the world during the holiday season, connecting artists everywhere and applying their tremendous artistic abilities to designing and creating meaningful, uplifting greeting cards.

Theme of the week: Silence
Unsettling stillness. All you can hear is the sound of your own breathing. Maybe you're isolated in the darkness. Maybe you're just waiting for something to happen. With silence can come a foreboding sense of dread. Maybe silence is just coming in mourning for one who is lost. How you utilize this word and how it's interpreted is all up to you.

Theme of the Week: Thunder and Lightning
When the positive and negative charges grow large enough, a giant spark - lightning - occurs between the two charges within the cloud. A big loud BOOM is sounded -- thunder. A sudden bolt in the sky followed by a roar in the clouds.
Some find it soothing, some find it fascinating, some find it terrifying. Even if it can be a beautiful strike of light in the dark storming sky, there is no denying its danger. Shocking trees, houses, power supplies, even people can be torn apart by this beam of natural energy. And thunder makes it all the more intimidating.
This week, let's let the lightning strike our pens and pour storming words on your parchm

Theme of the Week: Snow and Ice
What better way to follow up two forces of nature than with two more forces of nature? Like thunder and lightning, snow and ice can come with storms, but there can also be something soothing, perhaps even melodic to them. Watching a storm come down could be relaxing for some, stressful for others. It can be a gentle winter day with a light dusting on the ground, or a relentless tempest that threatens to engulf everything in endless white. What do the descending crystals mean to you? What do you see when you see them? What sort of image does the image of a snowflake or a frozen pond create?
Theme of the Week: Rain by Unseen-Writers, journal
Theme of the Week: Rain
By member request, we bring to you the theme of rain!
Rain is what keeps the world functional. It is the lifeblood of all creatures, and the bane of electronics. It can be the peaceful drizzle that washes away your insecurities, or it is the fearsome storm, taker of lives and destroyer of homes.
Some people love the rain. Some love getting wet. Other hate the rain. It makes them sad. It's like the sky is crying over us. But without rain, there is drought. No one wants that.
So what will you write? A God of rain, spirits maybe? The light raindrops on your skin? Houses torn apart in the typhoon? A paradise with a waterfall? A rain dance ritual?
